Developed according to a participatory planning approach, the urban development strategy of "Greater Libreville" aims to provide the geographical area shared by the four Communes with a Master Plan that contributes to the reduction of social inequalities and the harmonious development of the agglomeration.The revised Urban Planning and Development Master Plan will be the reference document for the urban planning of the Greater Libreville. It aims at setting the strategic orientations of the concerned territory and determining the general destination of the land over an 18-year period. It will thus contribute to coordinating local urbanization programs.The study conducted by SCET-TUNISIE, financed by the Islamic Development Bank, is carried out over 4 phases:
- Framing of the study, inception report and workshop to launch the study;
- Realization of the diagnosis / Analysis of the Master Plan (2010-2035), highlighting of the distortions;
- Prospective analysis, elaboration and proposal of 2 to 3 scenarios for the development of the territory;
- Finalization of the revised Master Plan.
All the mapping of the project will be done on GIS.
