 President of Gabon Omar Bongo visited Yugoslavia between 6 and 9 April 1975.^[2] Palais de conferences in Gabonian capital Libreville was completed in 1977 by engineers and architects of the Belgrade construction firm Energoprojekt.^[3] The building was constructed to accommodate the 14th Summit of the Organization of African Unity in 1977.^[3] The Conference Palace was demolished in 2014 to make way for a new complex for the president of Gabon.^[3] Yugoslav architects worked on other buildings in the country, including government complex, television and hospital buildings and other infrastructure.^[4]

At the time of the beginning of Yugoslav Wars Gabon informed the United Nations that it neither produces nor export any weapons and that country therefore intend to fully comply with the United Nations Security Council Resolution 724.^[5]Nom: Palais de conférences (Palais de conférences)

Description: Cet immense complexe de centres de conférence à Libreville a été construit pour accueillir le 14e Sommet de l'Organisation de l'unité africaine (OUA), tenu en 1977 et a été achevé par des ingénieurs et des architectes de l'entreprise de construction de Belgrade Energoprojekt. Le complexe a été décoré dans les plus beaux styles de l'époque, avec un hall d'entrée opulent qui contenait un relief sculptural massif de l'artiste de Belgrade Miodrag Živković (comme le montre la photo ci-dessus). Certaines sources décrivent même le Palais des Congrès comme le bâtiment le plus luxueux du genre en Afrique. Cependant, le Palais des Congrès a été démoli en 2014 pour faire place à un nouveau complexe pour le président du Gabon. En raison de sa démolition, je n'ai pas pu établir son emplacement exact de son ancien emplacement. De plus, je n'ai malheureusement pas pu trouver de nombreuses photos montrant son intérieur ou ses caractéristiques.
